Super WHY- fantastical episode for children from ages 3 to 6 and teaches critical reading skills such as the alphabet, spelling, pronunciation, writing, phonics, and word usage.
The characters live in Storybrook Village . Alpha Pig with Alphabet Power, Wonder Red with Word Power, Princess Presto with Spelling Power, Super WHY with the Power to Read and Super YOU with the Power to Help. Together, they are the "Super Readers"!
Wolfy is having fun scaring Pig, but Pig isn't enjoying it. He doesn't know what to do. Pig is the youngest of The Three Little Pigs and loves to pretend that he is a construction worker, just like his father, Poppa Pig, always wearing a hard hat and overalls. Whyatt with his friends go to help Pig. Whyatt is a nine year old olive-skinned, blue eyed, brown haired alter-ego who wears a polo shirt and khaki pants. They transform into The Super Readers and jump into their "Why Flyers”( are vehicles they use to fly into the book to begin their Super Story Adventure). They fly into “Little Red Riding Hood” to meet another tricky wolf!
Educational Objectives : To learn about advocating for yourself. Also to recognize the alphabet, play fun spellings games and use the power to read to change the story.
